Good sessions. Longer journeys.
Your free time is a window to enjoy a game, not a deadline to finish it.
Start with today
Double-click a mood or theme to make it main; single-click other tiles to refine. The main category has the strongest weight; extra selections refine the order without requiring every category to match. Use Shift+Enter on a focused tile to make it main. Choose a window from five minutes, whether plans might change, and Solo, Local co-op or Multiplayer. Any mood and Any theme broaden the choice. GTF offers up to three fitting games; it does not fill gaps with unrelated titles.
Respect the game’s stopping rules
Pausing, saving and safely leaving are different. GTF uses conservative guidance for each game and mode. Unknown rules, live matches and checkpoint-only progress do not qualify as safely interruptible sessions.
Keep friends optional
Co-op and multiplayer recommendations work without selecting a friend. When you select friends, My library only requires visible shared ownership. Include Steam Store can suggest fitting games some or all players need to purchase. Invitees confirm their windows when responding to a plan. Being online does not mean being available.
Use your own Steam account
Steam handles sign-in. Your visible library, friends, presence and unlocked achievements can be loaded through GTF’s server. Steam privacy settings still apply; GTF cannot unlock private data. Signed-out users can browse Steam Store games; ownership and progress require sign-in.
Separate time, investment and progress
A session window, an estimated total playthrough and personal remaining progress are separate facts. Sourced HowLongToBeat community durations are shown where available; missing sources stay unknown. A playtime-based range is explicitly a rough guess, not measured campaign completion.
Choose a gentle check-in
Keep going, extend your window or stop when it suits you. Browser reminders need an open tab. The Windows companion can keep a timer in the tray; Its gentle GTF card stays at the bottom right without taking focus; strict check-in is optional. Exclusive fullscreen games may require Borderless / Windowed fullscreen. GTF never forces a game to stop.
Play and plan with friends
Selected friends’ visible Steam libraries reveal titles you all own. Choose a specific or random fitting game, including purchase-required choices when Steam Store is included, send an opaque GTF invitation link and respond ready, late, start without me or declined. Steam chat links and copied messages are handoffs for you to send; GTF OpenID does not grant chat-send or arbitrary game-lobby permissions. Localhost invitations work only where the testing server is reachable.
Know what is curated
GTF includes an expanded ready-to-browse editorial catalogue. Curate library checks official Steam metadata, detailed tags, supported modes and release dates, then builds rule-based profiles. Public facts are reused across users by app ID. PCGamingWiki AppID lookup and public revision evidence add explicit saving and pause information when documented. SteamDB is linked as a reference; it is not scraped. Unsupported or missing saving and completion facts stay unknown. PCGamingWiki links provide additional information. SteamDB links provide further reference; GTF does not scrape SteamDB. Useful session length, saving by mode, player capacity and total completion time are not supplied universally by Steam. A personal review can fill those fields for your own account on this device. Reviews may be historical snapshots. Store cards check current regional prices; unavailable prices stay unknown. Automatic session windows are estimates, with undocumented saving and capacity clearly identified.
